MacHale (born March 11, 1955), is the creator of Are You Afraid of the Dark? also one of the show's executive producers, along with Ned Kandel and Micheline Charest. He wrote three episodes and directed nineteen episodes under his own name. He also wrote fifteen episodes under the pen name Chloe Brown.
