Danny Sellman in the episode "The Tale of the Captured Souls". she was portrayed by Maria Taylor (credited by the name of Maria King).
Danny and her parents were on there way to a relaxing vacation at a country hotel. When she and her parents arrived, she walked up to the front door, but the door was locked and no one answered. She checked the top of the door frame to see if there was a hidden key. Then she noticed a small mirror on the corner. Then she somehow burned her finger touching it.
Then Suddenly the door was answered by a charming young man named Peter Kirlan III. He knew she and her family were coming to stay at his family's hotel. Then he took an immediate shine to Danny calling her Danielle. She told him that she didn't like to be called Danielle. Peter then showed she and her parents to their rooms. The strange thing she immediately noticed was that every room in the hotel had mirrors everywhere. She was very puzzled by this. Then she tried to adjust a small one on the wall and she burns her finger again. Peter apologized, telling her the wiring was very old. She was most confused about there being wiring in a mirror. Then Peter showed her to the room she would be staying in.
The room had a huge floor mirror and a couple others on the walls. Then her mom asked Peter where his parents were. Peter told she and her parents that his parents were away on a cruise. So he is home alone, and he would be checking them in. Then she asked him if he was always there all alone. Then he creepily smiles at her and said not anymore and left the room.
Next day she and her dad were outside playing catch. Peter admired how good her pitching was and told she had quite the arm. After her dad talked Peter into joining their game, she noticed how sluggish and inactive Peter was when running to retrieve a missed baseball. Then her mom came outside with a camera to take their picture. Peter got very scared and defensive about having his picture taken. So he insisted that he would take the picture of she and her parents without him.
Back in the house, she opened a door and found a staircase leading to an upstairs bedroom. The room had old-fashioned furniture, clothing and some black and white pictures. Then Peter came in and startled her. He told her that it was his bedroom. Then she asks Peter what he did for fun, and he tells her whatever he wants. Then she began to do chin ups on the bar hanging near the ceiling. Peter tells her he loved a girl with great physical strength. She was taken back from the remark and stopped. Then she looked at old black and white picture frame and asked Peter if it's him. Then she says that it can't be because the year on it said 1920. Peter told her the picture was a photo of his grandfather.
Then she noticing that Peter is now staring at her creepily. So she finally asked him what he was doing. So he tells that she is breaking out in pimples. Then she runs to her room to look in a mirror to see for herself. Surely enough he was right, she did have a pimple on her face. Then she touched the side of the mirror to adjust it, then suddenly she burned her hand again and cried in pain.
the next day Peter was playing baseball with she and her dad. Peter strikes out her dad, who seemed to be tired and run down and his hair was getting gray. While Peter was now the one with lots of energy and stamina. She pitches the ball to Peter and he hits a home run right into the bushes and runs to get the ball. She tells her dad that Peter just got lucky. Then her dad tells her although they just started the game he has to quit because the heat has him feeling woozy. Then she goes over to get the baseball, but and Peter insisted on getting it back himself and her pushed her back.
Next she sat down with her mom on the sofa, she noticed that her mom has now gotten gray on her sideburns too. She asks her mom if they can go swimming. Her mom tells her no because she is feeling too tired. Her mom now notices how badly her skin was breaking out with a second big pimple. Her mom tells her they might have to get her some medication for her skin. Then she ran off in a hurry to go look for herself.
She checked herself in the mirror in a bathroom. There she sees that she did indeed have another pimple. Also she noticed that her breasts were getting bigger too (nothing shown). When she leans against the wall, she once again burns her hand touching the edge side of the mirror. She slams the cupboard door and the mirror smashes revealing a camera and all sort of weird wires. She freaks out and her dad comes to look, but her dad is so tired and sluggish. So he didn't even bother with it. Then annoyed she threw a glass of water into it. then it started to smoke!
Next we see her going for a little walk in the woods nearby the house. She finds a small little graveyard. She sees that one of the gravestones read "Peter Kirlan III, 1907 -" but with no date of death, indicating that he was still alive. Then she noticed that near the gravestones that there are some black silhouette markers. They are shaped like a man, a woman, a child and a dog. She didn't know what to make of it at first. Then back in house while wearing gloves she began taking down many mirrors. Her mom asked her what she was doing. Her mom has really aged a lot now. She has figured out that looking into all of these mirrors, it causes raped aging. So she tries to her mom stop looking into them, claiming it'll make her older. Her mom just thinks that all her years of stress have quickly caught up with her and she is imagining it. Her dad comes in, now she sees that he has really aged and has gotten worn. Then she sees both of her parents plop down on their bed exhausted.
Then she went upstairs to continue her investigation of the house. She looks for Peter in his room to talk to him. Peter was not there, she once again looked at the old photograph thinking it was weird. She then by lucky chance found a silver cover on the lab table. Underneath it was a hidden red button. She pressed the button, and right before her eyes, she watched the bedroom instantly turn into a science lab. Then she found a security camera. On the screen she could see an man. This elderly man who was wearing the same clothes that Peter wore. The man was serving her parents tea in the drawing room. Danny wondered who it was. So she turned the switch off, then the lab became a bedroom again. She went down to see them in the drawing room asking them if they had a new guest. Suddenly the chair turned and there was Peter offering her a cup of tea. She was stunned because he wasn't in the room a couple minutes ago. Instead an elderly man in the exact same clothing was.
Then she goes back to examine the black silhouette markers. The ones that are shaped like a man, a woman, a child and a dog. Finally she realizes that they represent people who visited the hotel over the years and quickly aged away and died after looking into the mirrors too long. The count was 21 men, 15 women, 34 kids and even 10 dogs. Peter approaches her, telling her that she's discovered the little plot. And she was right: It as all done by mirrors. Which she has managed to avoid. So since she is much younger than her parents and she hasn't been looking at them anymore, she hasn't been aging fast anymore.
Peter then tells her after tonight she'll be alone just like him. This meant he was going to take her parents away from her. So she would become an orphan. Peter offers her to become friends with him and to stay with him in the house if she wants. Instead she demands Peter to leave her parents alone, but Peter claims it's too late because they've aged too much now, and have entered the final phase. Peter offers her the chance to stay young like him forever. She thinks he is crazy and backs away. He threatens her that if she won't join him, then he'll have to drain her life too. She takes his picture on a Polaroid and runs when the flash temporarily blinds him. As she runs off he yells at that she is too late.
She runs back to the house to her parents room. She can see that they have extremely aged and are really run down. She tries to convince them that it is the mirrors that are making them old, but they still don't believe her. She carefully covers her hand with a cloth and grabs a mirror to help her. Then she runs up to Peter's room with it. Peter has activated his room to lab mode. Now he is in the chamber booth having the energy transference sending him her parents youth with the blue fluid energy tube almost full now.
She barges in on his session, and flips some buttons on the panel. Peter jumps out from the booth tube and tells her to get away. She holds out the mirror at him which he covers his face with his hands and refuses to look into. She tells him in a very mad and very serious tone to take a good look at himself. Danny tells him that she knows what he has been doing. Peter has been stealing visitors souls to help him stay young. Then she asks how old he really is, asking from as high as 80 to 90 years of age.
Peter tries to convince her not to be foolish because he is offering her eternal youth. She possibly declines the offer. Then she locks him inside the chamber booth. Then she turns the main switch all the way to minus, telling him he's messed with the wrong girl. Then the machine rapidly runs in reverse overloading and smoking. Peter screams, coughs and his hair turns gray as his true age rapidly catches up with him.
She goes to check on her parents and they're now as good as new. They're just like the way they were before they came to the hotel. Also her increased puberty has been reversed too and she no longer has the pimples on her face and she was happy her parents were okay. Finally her parents agree to leave the hotel. The next morning when they pack up the car and prepare to leave. The now elderly old man Peter is calling her from the front door. She is a little shocked to see him still there.
Peter says goodbye to her and tells her that he's going out back soon to join with his family. Because it's been too long. The last thing Peter tells her, is to enjoy her youth while she can and leaves. She can see that Peter has aged back to his true old age and he may now be ready to finally embrace death. Her mother shows her the Polaroid picture she found on the grass of Peter's true age. She asks her if she recognizes who it is . All she says is that she doesn't know and it just looks like some sad old man. Afterwards she never told her parents the true story about Peter. She and her parents were finally safe again. Then she finally convinced them to go to the beach.
