History[]
Jimmy Miller is a boy who comes from a poor family. He enjoy playing computer games and has a great interest in hockey. He and his dad are close and go to see hockey games all of the time.
One day he visited the shopping mall and went to a store named Game City. Here he was browsing around for a really long time. A computer game called: "Wisdom Game, The Ultimate Journey of Knowledge" piqued his interest. However, he could not afford it. So he continued browsing a while and starring at the same game. Until the store manager Phil got fed up with him. Phil bullied him. He snapped at him, telling him that his store was not a museum. and to either buy something or to leave.
When suddenly a rich boy named (not even knowing him yet) stood up for him. The rich boy told Phil that he was his brother and not to talk about him that way. Then the two of them introduced themselves and shook hands. The rich boy introduced himself as Allan Price. He introduce himself and gratefully thanked him for standing up for him. Both of them instantly won each others friendship. Then Allan nicely offered to buy him the computer game he wanted. Just then Phil humiliated Allan in public. Revealing that Allan's dad won't let him buy anything else. Until he's learn to understand the value of money. Then Phil also rudely remarked to him that he now knew that he was not his brother. So he finally left the store feeling ticked off.
Just as he was waiting outside, Allan called out to him from the window of his limousine and invited him inside the vehicle. He was amazed by the size of the vehicle. Then he was even more amazed when Allan gave him the computer game as a gift. Allan claimed that he worked out a misunderstanding and bought it. He was so grateful that he invited Allan over to his house, so they could play it. What he didn't realize was that Allan actually unwittingly stole the game!
Inside his bedroom, Allan noticed a hockey stick. So he asked him if he liked hockey. He said that he loved it. Also that he and his dad go to games all the time. Hearing this, Allan seemed a little disappointed, saying that his dad was always too busy to ever take him to a game. He then loaded the CD-ROM into the computer. However, the computer was really old. Then to he and Allan's surprize, the program ran successfully. He then registered both of their names and it connected online.
Then he and Allan found out that just the next day, a Game of Wisdom card tournament would be taking place. The prize would be $10,000. Then the printer automatically printed out the directions to the tournament. Then his computer conked out and crashed. He felt determined that they would win. So he and Allan happily agreed to split the prize money. Then he would be able to buy any new computer he wanted.
The next day, Allan's limousine driver Trevor drove them both to the location of the tournament. The odd thing was that it was in a field in the middle of nowhere. So nothing was there but a small wooden shed. Trevor reading the directions carefully, confirmed that it should be the place. Then he and Allan noticed that the shed had a W on it. So they figured out that it must have been the place. Trevor was ordered to wait for them. Until they came back. Also ahead of time he had spoken to Trevor himself. He asked him to hold onto two hockey game tickets. He planned to surprise Allan after the tournament and take him with him to the nights hockey game.
Once inside, he and Allan were teleported into a dark realm. They entered a room full of people already playing the tournament. Next they noticed a woman hovering around. She was a gorgeous blonde woman with no eyes. She informed them they must heed the rules of wisdom. Which are: respect, integrity and honesty. She then gave them both brown monks robes to wear. Then she informed he and Allan that she was the The Keeper (not to be confused with this Keeper).
Suddenly he and Allan observed her conjuring a crystal ball to register their names. It informed them that their names were not worthy. Then her eyes appeared and they glared blood red. Now she seemed furious and snapped for the guards to get them. They tried to run for it, but they got captured. The Keeper informed them that they had been waiting for them. Next he and Allan were thrown into a court room. The Judge (wearing a powdered wig and mask) informed them that they were not in a game. They were in the realm of Wisdom.
It turned out that the computer game was so sophisticated, that cyberspace formed a real realm of wisdom. So it turned out that he and Allan had been brought there to be placed on trial to defend themselves. Therefore, if found guilty they would pay for their crime. The crime of stealing wisdom.
In a holding cell, he figured out they have been accused of stealing the computer game. So he asked Allan why they think that they stole it. Allan nervously lied saying that he didn't know. Then he wanted Allan to convince them that he didn't steal it. Since he believed that Allan could do it. Since he is rich and seems honest, and no one may ever suspect him. Unlike him, people always suspect a poor person would do something so wrong. Allan then told him that they couldn't prove they really stole it. Therefore they'll will be off the hook in no time. Hearing this, he feel reassured.
At the trial, The Keeper then tells him they have proof. Suddenly Phil the store manager was teleported into the court. Phil then pointed to him, saying that it was him. Phil than explained that he saw him staring at the game. Then after he ran out of the store, the game was gone. He cried that he didn't do it and asked Allan to speak up for him. Allan not thinking that he really liked him for who he is, said that he stole it and he even told him not to, but he wouldn't listen to him. The jury was shocked, Judge Day says the circumstances are now very unusual. So he must consult the Wisdom Glass for an answer. After the Judge and the whole Jury had their lunch break.
In the holding cell, Allan revealed to him that he did it, but took it by mistake. Allan says that did it because Phil humiliated him and wanted to get back at him. Allan then wanted him to take the wrap. Since Allan was a top honor student, with hopes to follow in his dad's footsteps of becoming a lawyer. Therefore if he's found guilty, this could mess up his future. He decided to take the wrap, not because he liked Allan for his money, or his clothing or limousine. But because he appreciated the way that he stood up for him in the store. Just like the way that a real friend would do.
As promised, when the trial resumed he took the blame confessing that it was him. Judge Day asked him if there was anything to say before passing sentence. Allan asked the Judge to go easy on him, Allan was then told he was free to go. So the guards lead Allan out. Then Judge Day informed him, that for committing the crime, they could give him one of several punishments. Such us..
- Make him pay for the game.
- Write a 10,000 word essay about the evils of stealing.
- He could just be let go and given a warning.
Judge Day consulted the Wisdom Glass for the answer. He was then told that for stealing wisdom he was to be immediately executed by guillotine!
He was horrified to hear this, stating that they can't execute him for stealing a game. The Keeper then informed him that in their world stealing is a capital offense. So yes they could. Then they immediately prepared to tie him down and proceed with the execution.
Meanwhile Allan was let out and headed back to his limousine. Trevor then revealed to him that he bought them hockey tickets, and he was going to treat him to tonight's hockey game. The tickets were a thank you gift for giving him the computer game. Revealing to Allan that he really did like Allan for who he was and not just the money.
Realizing this Allan now felt guilt-ridden. So Allan ran back in to confess the truth. Allan ran in just as it was about to happen. Allan immediately confessed that he was the one, but he didn't mean to take it he just walked out with it by mistake. Then he asked his friend (him) to take the blame. So the Judge immediately stopped the exection and set him free. He thanked Allan for comining back for him and confessing, and they made up. For a moment everything seemed all right. That was until the judge ordered Allan to be executed instead. Because the judgement of the Wisdom Glass must be carried out.
As the court prepared Allan on the guillotine, he grabbed the Wisdom Glass. He threatened to smash it, if Allan wasn't let go and they could both leave. The whole court was horrified by the idea of it being smashed. Therefore Judge Day reluctantly released Allan. He continued threatening to smash it, if they didn't let them leave. On the way out, he tossed it back to them. The Court Jester caught it, but he idiotically dropped it.
Back at the limousine, they high fived each other over how great they were. Allan then orderd Trevor to take them home, but Trevor didn't responding. Allan barked at him about why they're not moving. Then suddenly he and Allan were horrified to see Trevor was now wearing Judge Day's mask. He told them that the Judgement of the Wisdom Glass must be carried out. Then the car doors were all locked. He and Allan panicked trying to break out of the limousine as they were shown being driven back to the shed, screaming their heads off. It can be assumed that both he and Allan were soon executed!
