History[]

Katie is a young woman and a student who works part-time at the "Rialto" The "Rialto" is a vintage and very old-fashioned movie theater. One that mostly shows classic vintage black & white movies. The theater mostly appealed to the older generations and not so much with the younger generations of the 1990s.

She and her friend Pete Matt worked their for their manager and boss Mr. Kristoph. She was aware that the old movie theater was going to be closing soon, even before her boss told her so. Since most days of the week including Friday nights were never busy. She told Pete that she was prepared for when the "Rialto" would close. She applied for a job at movie theater called "The Quad". The Quad is a modern and update movie theater. One that is so busy and active that it has lines of customers that go around the block.

Her friend Pete wasn't ready to give up. He formed a campaign to keep the "Rialto" opened and have it declared a historical landmark. She didn't help him with his campaign, since she was too busy. But she still supported him. He asked her out to dinner, but she said no because she had homework.

Then one evening, an hour before the theater opened she, Pete and her boss were introduced to Dr. Vink. He forced his way inside to look around. She thought out loud that he was a nut bag.

Then she listened to Dr. Vink when he told them that he came to help the movie theater. Dr. Vink claimed to be a film maker many years prior. And that his films were very popular. She saw Dr. Vink make a film canister containing a movie he made appear. It was a silent black and white film about a vampire who wins. It was called: Nosferatu: The Demon Vampire.

She was wasn't sure whether or not to believe him when he guaranteed that showing his movie, would greatly attract more business and increase their fortunes beyond their dreams. So she and Pete put the film away and forgot about it.

Then one night the film they were showing shorted out and broke down. She was about to tell all the customers that the show was cancelled due to technical difficulties and give out refunds. Then Pete talked her into playing Dr. Vink's movie. She announced what would be playing instead, and if they didn't like it, they would still get a refund.

The movie was terrifying, but a real success and when it was over nobody wanted a refund. So she and Pete hugged in celebration. Soon she observed the "Rialto" go through quick and successful comeback. Also she was relieved to hear that the place wouldn't be closing after all. Then she found out that Mr. Kristoph got greedy and wouldn't keep his promise to Dr. Vink to show his movies one night a week.

Then one day, Pete came running to her, he said that he believed that when he fell asleep in the theater, Nosferatu exited the screen and came into the real world. She talked him into thinking he was just seeing things, after working at the place for so long. Then she and Pete were about to have their first kiss when they heard Mr. Kristoph scream.

She and Pete found Mr. Kristoph passed out and with two bite marks on his neck. She wanted to phone the police, but the phone line was cut. Then she and Pete ran into Nosferatu! She and Pete were terrified, so they tried hiding from him.

Then having an idea, Pete asked her to play the reel of the movie. Luckily she turned the projector on just before she got bitten. In the movie she could see Pete entered the world of fiction. She saw him struggling to get the coffin into the sunlight on time. So she told him she was thinking of turning off the projector. She was told not to, or he would get stuck inside the film. Then she saw Pete, open the curtains and slay Nosferatu by exposing him to sunlight.

Afterwards, Pete was free and her boss was back to normal. Then she saw Dr. Vink and he had the most disturbing news. He just purchased their movie theater. So now his movies can play every single night. She along with the others were just shocked to hear this! Whether she was able to quit working at the "Rialto" is unknown.
