Mrs. Lee is a character created by Andy. She appeared in the episode "The Tale of the Misfortune Cookie".
History[]
She and her husband are the owners of the Emerald Garden restaurant. It is a Chinese restaurant that she and her husband run with the help of the entire family: Her elderly father-in-law, and her two children: David and Theresa. She loves her family dearly. Unlike her husband she feels that everybody deserves a break every now and again. During the events of the story, the restaurant was doing poorly facing rough times. So she and her husband placed an advertisement in the newspaper to hire another part-time cook. Therefore they soon would have more help.
One Saturday, her son really wanted to go his friends Party. She said yes, but told him he would also have to ask his dad. She encouraged him to not be afraid. But to just speak up and ask him. When David asked, her husband told him no. Since Saturday night is their busy night and he that they would still need his help. She stood up for their son and tried to encourage husband into letting him have the night off, but he her husband still said no. Then she could see how upset and disappointed was. So she gave him encouragement, promising him that things would one day become better.
Later that evening her father-in-law bestowed a gift onto her son. The gift was a small wooden box. In which it contained Six beautiful golden fortune cookies. Which she may or may not have been aware of.
Her son wasted no urged in wanting to sell them. In order to get tuition money and leave for art school. Suddenly her son opened one by mistake. It told her son: "One should find perfect existence, through imperfect existence".
Suddenly her son was taken by a warrior representing her son's bad side into an alternate world. One where she never had a son, she only had her daughter Theresa. So being short handed she and her husband hired Mr. Chin as their other cook. Which proved to be a very wise choice. Mr. Chin lead the restaurant to fame and success. This changed he and his wife into rich snobs.
Her daughter on the other hand became a rebellious punk who never knew enough to stay away from the wrong type of guys. So her daughter began dating the shady petty thief produce courier Eddy. Also as a ripple effect; her father-in-law had passed away a long time ago.
In this alternate world, her son David had became a rich and successful comic book artist. One in which he had no family to hold him back from becoming. However her son soon did the right thing. Her son decided that him having everything he really wanted was not worth it, if it meant giving up his family was the only way to get it. So his son's good side won.
So reality was restored to the way that it was. Her son was part of his family again, her daughter was no longer rebellious and her father-in-law was alive again.
Suddenly Mr. Chin came in to apply for the job of becoming their new part-time cook. Her son had remembered him from the alternate reality, had a very good hunch about him. Therefore her son convinced she and her husband to just hire Mr. Chin right on the spot.
